Empowering Children Through Strength-Based Early Intervention.
Early Intervention
Since 2021, Beacon Heights ECS has been empowering children through strength-based, holistic early intervention. We identify needs early, provide targeted support, and collaborate closely with families and specialists. Accredited by Alberta Education, these services are available at no cost to families.

Consent to Screen
We offer early intervention screenings to help identify areas where your child qualifies and benefits from extra support – such as speech and language, motor development, or self-regulation skills.
To access services funded by Alberta Education, children must be registered and funding applications submitted before November 30 of the calendar year.
What to Expect from the Screening Process
- Screening conducted by our multidisciplinary team (Alberta Certified Teacher, Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist)
- Takes approximately 30–60 minutes
- Helps determine what supports your child will receive
- Results and next steps are shared with parents/guardians
Diagnosis by Pediatric Doctor (If Applicable)
- ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
- Speech Delay or Language Delay
- Global or Developmental Delay
- Behaviour or Social-Emotional Regulation Concerns
- Any other developmental or communication-related condition
A medical Diagnosis
- means your child qualifies for Alberta Education–funded early intervention services
- helps clarify your child’s developmental and learning needs
- does not replace our educational screening, but it supports accurate and individualized planning
